Entertaining your client is an important part of the business ritual, and no other time of year has more going on than at Christmas! We’ve put together a few of the best options, which are guaranteed to win over your clients during the festive season…
The Christmas Tree at Trafalgar Square
Celebrate the start of Christmas with your client by attending a tradition dating back almost 70 years. The Trafalgar Square Christmas tree lighting ceremony which took place on 4th December marks the beginning of the festive season, with a whole host of events taking place during the run up to Christmas Day, including carol singing. After enjoying the festivities near the tree, head to a bar nearby. Rockwell Bar at The Trafalgar Hotel has great views of the square and the city.
Ice Rink at Somerset House and Broadgate
Take part in one of Christmas’s great traditions and take your client ice skating. There are many ice rinks throughout London, but one of the best is Somerset House’s neoclassical courtyard, transformed into a magical ice rink. Avoid the crowds by booking an hour’s timeslot a little later in the evening, and afterwards go for a warming drink at the Radio Rooftop Bar at ME London. Offering incredible, panoramic views of London, there’s no better way to treat your client and get them in the Christmas mood.
Alternatively, if your offices or client are City based, then you could visit the ice rink at Broadgate. This is London’s longest running outdoor rink and is surrounded by bars and restaurants. Just a ten minute walk away is City Social, where you can enjoy beautiful food.
The Royal Albert Hall
At The Royal Albert Hall you are spoilt for choice with a range of Christmas themed events. From classical Christmas events such as Carols by Candlelight, to lighter entertainment including variety shows, there’s plenty to choose from. Hospitality packages are also available. You can find more information from the Royal Albert Hall websitehere..
Indulgence comes in the form of a festive cocktail, so treat your client to the best of the best and head to The Connaught. With a decadent 1920s style bar, and award-winning cocktails, you can’t go wrong! This hotel also offers a delightful afternoon tea, which was presented an “Award of Excellence” from the Tea Guild in 2013.
Another City based venue is the Leadenhall Market. At Christmas it’s a traditional and nostalgic break from the busy hub of the City. With cobbled walkways, a glass Victorian roof and delightful Christmas lights, it’s a lovely place to eat, drink and shop. Take your client to the Festive Market between 16-20th December and enjoy a seasonal drink and yuletide entertainment.
