Pop-ups are exciting and exclusive, offering a select service for a limited period, then disappearing before people get a chance to take it for granted. Take a look at LEO’s recommendations for the best pop-ups that London has to offer this summer.
Cuisson’s Pop-Down Dessert Bar
Indulge yourself after work this summer with Cuisson’s Michelin star-quality desserts every Thursday to Saturday evening from the 12th of June. With chefs trained at The Fat Duck, Le Gavroche, The Square, and Adam Simmons, you can enjoy pushing the boundaries of dessert and wine conventions from the company which has previously provided luxury gastronomy for Louis Vuitton, Krug and Aston Martin.
Taking place a stone’s throw from our Mayfair serviced offices, the concept will share the space with Pop-Down Dining, so you can enjoy a four course meal before sitting down to your fabulous selection of desserts.
Aveda Hair Fix Pop Up
When the Underground wreaks havoc on your hair, head to Piccadilly Circus Station for a luxury treatment from Aveda. Get your hair fixed for free by one of their stylists, or grab mini Aveda products from their stand on the way to our St. James’s Square, King Street or Pall Mall serviced offices. Runs until 15th August.
Rosie Olivia Millinery at Selfridges
Shop haute headgear from London based milliner Rosie Olivia in her first pop-up shop at Selfridges. With twelve designs from her SS15 collection, as well as one design exclusively available at Selfridges, if you’re heading to the races or a wedding this summer, this is the perfect place to shop for your accessories. Rosie Olivia Millinery will be at Selfridges until the 31st of August.
Pop Up Screens: Outdoor Film Screenings
Sitting in a deckchair under a blanket to watch a film under the stars is surely the archetypal summer pop up experience, and with Pop Up Screens it’s possible to do exactly this several times a week throughout the summer whilst enjoying popcorn, drinks and bespoke catering. Screenings are in a variety of locations across London, but summer shows in Holborn (near LEO’s Central Court serviced offices and meeting rooms) include The Big Lebowski, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jerry Maguire and Ghost. Head to their website to see what other screenings they have planned.
Hackney Drinks Market
While not strictly a pop-up, the Hackney Drinks Market offers patrons a limited-time chance to get to know the London drinks industry. Once a month, visitors have the opportunity to try locally-made beers, wines and spirits from small producers in the capital; suppliers include the London Cocktail Company, London Cru Wines and the East London Liquor Co. Whether you’re keeping an eye out for gifts or just feel like having post-work drinks off the beaten track, the Hackney Drinks Market is not to be missed.
